I slept in so I wasn’t part of the decision making process, but we went bowling on Sunday. There’s a ridiculous bowling alley near-by which is decorated to look like Bedrock (from the Flintstones). Goofiness aside, though, it’s’ really quite nice and well-maintained. Thning 1 monitored the lane. Thing 2 and the Husband kept tabs. Friend Deb in LA is going to freak out at my score. We bowled in late May when the fambly...
Happy Trails
Today we arose before five and headed to the Tucson INTERNATIONAL Airport. Cracks me up. (International. Snort.) Boys were thrilled. Mom a little less so, but Dad sat with boys so mom could listen to audiobook and knit. How awesome is THAT!? After a longish (but pleasant and free-via-miles) set of flights we landed— —and were picked up by Auntie Suzie. We were able to see Cousin Thom off to a fête in Finland then back to...

For those of you who’ve visited Tucson proper, this view of the Santa Catalina mountains may be a bit befuddling. We’re north of Tucson, now, just past the border of Oro Valley. The top pic is taken facing nearly...
Improvements!
I’ve made a discovery. It’s dry in Arizona. Outrageous, I know, to claim something like that. But I was getting really sick of the gluten free bread’s refusal to rise much. Then I thought—maybe it’s just drying out, despite my best efforts to lube it up and humidify the oven and all that. So I made a REALLY sticky dough…um…batter. Just added maybe 1/3 C more water. And like magic, my goofy GF baguette...
