Part of our trip to San Diego was to visit the USS Midway, an aircraft city, I mean carrier. Um. It’s big. The Things loved it—partly because they got to pilot immovable objects. Arizona Sky Progress

From the front of the house looking north, 1:20pm. Then from the back of the house facing southwest at 1:25 pm. Then through the trees on the boys’ fort facing south southeast @1:28pm. Then I checked out the fort fort a sec, structurally, and turned around. Facing north (again) at 1:35pm… and north northwest. It’s the contrast of the deep blue, the bright white, and the dark grey that always gets me. Sure HOPE it rains....

Summer Project #1—Boy’s Bathroom Counter

We had an ugly counter when we moved in. (You’ll have to trust me) I had neither time nor money to fix it properly in 2006–plus I had a 3yo rug rat who woudln’t let me think much less tile a counter. Now he’s 6-1/2 and has a good eye for color. Ugly tile counter was covered by paint and decoupage art that was boy-appropriate. It lasted for awhile…until the kids’ toothpaste took a toll. So.
