Young love is so tough, even in the best of times—and Casey and Rosie aren’t that lucky. What is the Chinese curse? May you be born in Interesting Times? Well, then they are cursed indeed.
And blessed.
Because regardless what else happens, they did find each other.
They know the other is there.

These socks, designed by Meg Warren of March Hare dying and Defarge book fame, are cabled—if you knit tightly they will be tight. If you knit loose, they will be loose and soft.

Happy Fuzzy Yarn Corrie Sock (75% Superwash Corriedale wool/25% nylon; 435 yards [395m]/ 4 oz [114g]) 1 skein; shown in Rain Forest colorway — or substitute any true fingering weight yarn
Sizes S&L: US#1 [2.25mm]
Size M: US#1.5 [2.5mm] needles for circular knitting
Stitch markers to mark beginning of round

Pattern Notes
Instructions are provided for Size S/M with Size L shown in ( ). Sizes S&M differ from each other in gauge rather than stitch count. For a medium size foot (shoe size 7 ½ to 9) follow the instructions for Size S, but aim for a gauge of approximately 8 sts/inch for a proper fit.

Grounded Socks ARE my WIP Wednesday! 
Mina’s Protective Socks are not for the faint of heart—but then, neither is running a boot camp for psychic teens.
Mina’s protective arms like the roots and branches of a tree enfold the kids in her care, and while she’s not perfect (who is) she’s always there.
These socks are heavily cabled—so much so that the charts come color coded. And while the charts have been broken up for ease-of-use and lack-of-eyestrain, complete charts (one for the back and one for the front) are also provided in case you like to use Knit Companion.
MATERIALS
Happy Fuzzy Yarn Corrie Sock

Justin’s Stubborn Socks gave us a little trouble trying to get photos, but Justin always pulls through when the chips are down.
Perhaps the most misunderstood of The Seven, Justin is the one who ultimately has your back. Good looking, stylish, and with a (slightly?) haughty sense of humor, Justin is the only one of The Seven who won’t be allowed back in his house unless he can stop being psychic.
Yeah. Right.
So Justin has to find his own way, for now. These socks are a classy addition to his wardrobe, reminding him that he doesn’t need to pull down glamours to be glam.

For many months now I’ve been taking pictures of stuff–life, my cooking, interesting-weird-things–always thinking, “ooh! I can post it tonight” but night is my only knitting time and… there went that idea.
Instead, I think I’d like to start something different. I’d like to post a gallery of these shots on Sunday. Just pictures. If something sparks your fancy or you just want to know more, let me know in the comments and I’ll work up a whole post on how/what/where/wherefore just for you. (more…)
