So, two years ago I started the Mystery Shawl KAL.
I lost momentum from work interrupting. I decided in my new wave of nausea and headache (Imotrex made it worse so… Not a migraine?) that I’d clean out the basket the shawl wad in so maybe, someday, I could finish.
This is what I found. Woven with dog hair.
Sigh.
Well that WAS a lot of nice lace yarn.
While you are waiting for insurance to approve your MRI (be on the phone with them every day! Push them! I HEAR you on the Kafka-esque idea!), the following book has given me GREAT help with trigger point problems (stressed muscle/nerve points that actually affect other areas of the body):

I use this body cane to relieve myofascial/fibromyalgia and spinal disk pain:

Have been sending you good wishes on Twitter – don’t know if you regularly do an @MamaO search and see them. Hope you will be feeling 100% very, very soon!
As always, thank you for the podcast.
my husband buys yarn at yard sales and just last week he brought home a stash which had a mess in the bottom similar to yours! it took hours to straighten. That was right after i decided to rip out a scarf i was making with 4 strands of different kinds of yarn. i would just go back every once in a while to tackle the wad…
yesterday he bought 5 boxes of imported wool and mohair for $10! Some of it is really beautiful, some i will give to the grandchildren who knit squares for Warm Up America.
it is saturday morning and he just called with news of another yarn buy! along with a cherry corner cupboard that is too big for our corners. should i start tagging along…
I have had two MRI’s and with the second one they gave me a valum to take before I got there becouse of the pain I found it easier to get thru and I had also learned from the first OPEN MRI that the steel is cold and hard so go prepared and before the top is lowered close your eyes and think happy thoughts it is noisey when running but if you have a problem with close by having your eyes closed you can not see how close to your face the maching is and for me that was as bad as the hard steel you are lying on. Hope all goes well and just close your eyes and meditate.
Sorry to read about the health issues. Good luck with the MRI and close your eyes before going in.
Love your podcast and book selection.
