Gluten-Free Girl and the Chef: gluten-free rugelach.
I’m in heaven.
I was asked to make GF challah tonight and bring a dessert to a Rosh Hashana dinner. The former was easy–I’ve been modifying this GF challah recipe of late and it’s been spectacular–and better with a few modifications.
Now I’m going to attach the rugelach. This wont be my first GF rugelach, but I can tell it’s going to be my best.
–And for those readers who aren’t gluten-sensitive, first, thank you for sticking with me while I learn how to cook all over again, but also pass the posts on. The numbers of folks who are finding out that genetically modified wheat (what we’ve been eating for the past 50 years or so) has wreaked havok on their systems is growing. I had no gastro trouble for years, but I had hand tremors and headaches. My son had the gastro stuff. Reactions are weird and plentiful, so don’t be surprised if you have a friend with migraines and it turns out to be gluten. Also tell them not to despair. There’re some great recipes out there on the web. It’s really not that hard after the initial shock.
