In my new role as the luckiest person EVER, I got to go to TNNA last weekend. One of the many nifty things was getting to go to Marly Bird’s marvelous dinner, sit with wonderfully winning people, see old friends, make new ones and—beyond my wildest dreams of avarice—score some free goodies. These things do not come without the hope of we lucky recipients spreading the word and so I will dutifully be testing and trying out the...
In Case You’re One of the Two Who Haven’t Heard
Knitters Outraged After U.S. Olympic Committee Squashes Knitting Olympics—and Disses Knitters. Oh you really MUST read this. I posted this on Facebook shortly ago with the note for non-knitters that: All of the patterns that the Olympic committee is picking on (yes, I understand trademark infringement, fair use, etc, read on…) are NOT designed by Casey. NO ONE is making money off of them. These are patterns made up by Just...
Meet Miss Goligtly!
Holly Golightly is one of those characters who stick with you. These socks are kind of like that too. Quick to knit but oh-so-comfy, these puppies will keep your dogs warm before, during, and after a pedicure. Great for those of us who have perpetually cold toes as well as those of us who need a little “air conditioning” when the heat is on too high in the winter. These little beauties are worthy of their resourceful namesake. The...
Sneaky Peeky Preview for Ya

The very helpful folks over at the KnitGrrl Ning site gave me some great ideas and Shannon agreed to let me try this. It gives you more choices in price and toe-up/top-down options—and I’m all jazzed about both of those things. Here’s the video and below is a...
Help a Sister Out?
Destashing! So much must go, it’s shocking. For the next week or so I’ll be having a rolling sale on eBay, trying to relieve space issues in our very small basement. Sadly, I forgot how much work it is to post things on eBay. Thus the rolling sale. I can’t do it all at once. ¿C’est la Guerre, non? In other newsy-news, I’m nearly done with a new pattern for Dragonfly Fibers in (OMGaw it is scrumptious) Super...
Why So Silent?
I’ve been designing! My new beastie is Wensleydale. He’s a Liliputian friend for Cheddar, the CraftLit Critter. I made mine with about 30yds of leftover sock yarn and finished him in one night of TV with the husband. Wensleydale Cheddar We’re also working on clothes for Cheddar (he might get chilled in the air conditioning, after all) so I’ve constructed a ruff for him. That pattern is free and you can download...
