I’ve been darning lately. It’s not very glamorous, but it’s pretty gratifying. Whenever I make socks for someone, I tell them that the socks come with a lifetime Darning Guarantee. (This means you, Penny.) So far no one’s believed me. Not until a few weeks ago. I was over at Mom’s and she handed me three pairs of socks. I practically skipped home.
