Do I have a cute book for you!<\/p>\n<p>Do you like to crochet?<\/p>\n<p>Do you like to crochet for kids?<\/p>\n<p>Do you like\u00a0a path to follow like, &#8220;do this for January, and this for February, and &#8230; &#8221; \u2014 if so, then I have a book for you!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/0811713245\/?tag=crapofocrwhlo-20\">Crochet for Baby All Year: Easy-to-Make Outfits for Every Month<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=crapofocrwhlo-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0811713245\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0by Tammy Hildebrand.*<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 120px; height: 240px;\" src=\"\/\/ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&amp;OneJS=1&amp;Operation=GetAdHtml&amp;MarketPlace=US&amp;source=ss&amp;ref=ss_til&amp;ad_type=product_link&amp;tracking_id=crapofocrwhlo-20&amp;marketplace=amazon&amp;region=US&amp;placement=0811713245&amp;asins=0811713245&amp;linkId=6ADJ3L5S7FERTZME&amp;show_border=false&amp;link_opens_in_new_window=true\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><br \/>\n<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There are some extremely clever crochet patterns in this adorable book\u2014including his-and-her stegosaurus onsies (long legs and sleeves\u00a0for\u00a0Halloween), June&#8217;s crocheted beach &#8220;flip-flops&#8221; (which may not be all that functional, but they are darn cute!), and a\u00a0makes-me-hope-my-sons-have-daughters-one-day little girl dress that is &#8220;Pretty as a Posy&#8221; for April.<\/p>\n<p>My fave, though, both for construction and look is September&#8217;s back-to-school set: a letterman&#8217;s sweater and cheerleader uniform.<\/p>\n<p>Too!<\/p>\n<p>Cute!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3867\" src=\"http:\/\/crafting-a-life.com\/mamaoknits\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0001-157x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0001\" width=\"157\" height=\"300\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3868\" src=\"http:\/\/crafting-a-life.com\/mamaoknits\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0003-196x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0003\" width=\"196\" height=\"300\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3869\" src=\"http:\/\/crafting-a-life.com\/mamaoknits\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/IMG_0002-173x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0002\" width=\"173\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is not a book for beginners\u2014though I&#8217;m confident that if you know sc, dc, and hdc and have a reference book by your side you&#8217;d be able to find something you could do in here (boy&#8217;s swim trunks? several of the hats?)\u2014but if you&#8217;re an experienced crocheter I think you&#8217;ll find some nifty things to keep you interested. The construction of that gored cheerleader skirt, for one.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All in all, I found this to be another lovely entry from the ever-busy Tammy Hildebrand. I loved her previous book (and<a href=\"http:\/\/crafting-a-life.com\/mamaoknits\/?p=3413\" target=\"none\"> had fun corresponding with her back then<\/a>) and this looks like another winnah!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A note on the physical book itself:<\/strong> since CraftLit has gotten on Stackpole Books&#8217; mailing list, I&#8217;m finding myself very impressed with the quality of the book itself. I like the covers\u2014they&#8217;re made with a matte finish, but it&#8217;s a matte that feels really silky under your fingers. Very nice.
